YOUR BACKYARD REALTOR
I am the Redland specialist. My knowledge of this select area is invaluable. I work 7 days a week. I am likeable and hardworking. This Career was designed for me. As a young girl, I spent my afternoons driving around looking at homes. In college I studied Real Estate, passed and was eligible to sit for the board. In the early 1980’s, I went to work for Town and Country. The timing was not right. I Re-entered the field in the late 90’s. It was the perfect time. I began my career with Keyes Company Realtors. I Iove it, and I am good at it!!
I have a magnitude of properties available to include: Farms, Single Family homes, Estate homes, Large and Small Tracts of land, Groves, Container Nurseries, Aviation Home sites, Equestrian (Horse) Facilities, Tree Farms Etc. One thing they all have in common is, they are located in a rural area of Miami in a small farming community known as Redland/Homestead. The majority of these properties are zoned Agricultural which can offer huge Tax exemptions. In addition, it always stays a little cooler here due to the lack of development(concrete) in the winter.
I grew up in the South Miami/ Coconut Grove/ Coral Gables area known as unincorporated Dade County near Matheson Hammock. I know Dade County/ Miami Beaches thru the Florida Keys like the back of my hand. I specialize where I live and love, Redland. It’s a small town living in a big city. The best of both worlds!!
Real estate is my passion. I am also the Founder/President of an animal rescue "Redland Road Warriors INC". With help from my family I support a 501C3 Non-Profit for street dogs, a few horses, etc. This started when I moved to Redland. As time went by I recognized the long term need to go that extra mile. I mainly take medical cases where its me or death. Its a heart breaker, but there is nothing more rewarding at the end of the day. So different than the way I was raised. What brought me to Redland was my Husband grew up on a plant nursery and I had a love for Orchids. We heard there was a house on 1.25 acres with a shade house in the backyard that was a orchid nursery. Big change for us to move from the city. I owned a horse(still do). I thought we could save money, wake up everyday, and see "Dan the Man" in the backyard with the orchids paying the bills. The American Dream. I never lost the love of the water but Redland won my soul. The sunsets are devine wih its warm breezes setting the tone most days. There is only 12 miles from the Coast to the Everglades. The location allows the perfect settings for thunder storms rolling in off the Everglades most summer days. I love that! You will too. You can smell the air before you can see the black skies with their cooling rains. Yet it could be perfectly sunny on the coast. I guess I am crazy about the outdoors. Redland allows a quality of life I feel is not accessible anywhere else in Miami, without giving up all Miami has to offer.
My final note is you are less than 30 minutes from the Florida Keys, Miami Beach, Miami International Airport, and some of the best Hospitals in the country. We are actually between Biscayne National Park and the Everglades National Park. Everyday I wake up feeling on vacation. Come and enjoy a true hidden secret in Miami.
